For The Fan Presents

For The Fan Presents:

Ryan and Anthony

Ahoy there, we are Anthony and Ryan and we are just a couple of dudes who love movies. We are proud to be on board with For The Fan. Our job is to bring you latest news in all that is Film, Television, and Media. We do this for the pleasure and to experience more movies. We just hope you’ll come along with us.

How We Work

Every week the two of us pick at least one movie. We both watch them and then we review them. Whatever movie the author picks he will write a primary review for it and under his review the other author will write a brief secondary opinion. For instance: Ryan picks American Psycho, he and Anthony both watch it and then Ryan writes a full, in depth, review and Anthony writes a brief paragraph. We both score the movies out of five.

All we mean by review is: our thoughts. We just opine to you. We are not professionals we are just a couple guys with some honest opinions.

Along with our reviews we will be bringing you the latest news in the film and television. We will also be showing you guys up and trailers for the latest up and coming films. Eventually we are hoping to start discussing and dissecting short films we pull of the internet or submitted by YOU the readers. As of right now that is a works in progress.

Apart from textual reviews, news and trailers we will also record brief video reviews/vlogs. These videos may include a short parody of the film and a one minute challenge where we collectively get a minute to highlight our feelings about the film.

Thank you for taking your time to read our words.

Who We Are

Ryan: Howdy, I fell in love with movies from my first tear as a small child watching Air Bud; however I first became enamored by the art of film in my Junior year of High School. Now, just for the fun, I analyze and opine about films so I thought maybe it was time to put those observations into text. For reference, some of my favorite films include: American Beauty, Moonrise Kingdom, Seven, The Prestige, Unforgiven, Taxi Driver, The Shawshank Redemption, Star Wars, and many more. Honestly, I do not discriminate against genre; I just enjoy good movies.

I utilize a 5-star review system but instead of stars I use a reference from the film (for instance: 3/5 blue pills for The Matrix). The grading scale will represent the entertainment value of the film as well as the overall technical attributes. My reviews seek to form a brief, intriguing and informative, opinion/analysis of the film presented. There are no spoilers.

Thank you for taking your time to read my scribbling. I love the artistic realm of film and I hope I can help you on your journey to appreciating it as well.

Love, Ryan.

Anthony: Hey, hi, how’s it going? (I actually really care so tell me.) My name is before the colon and I like movies and junk.  Oh, you want more? Okay.

I REALLY love movies. “On da r3al,” though, I am an acting connoisseur of all that is media but preferably the realm of film. Most of my spare time has become nothing more than watching and reviewing movies. To be honest, I’m perfectly fine with that. My taste of film ranges from horror to experimental to romance to EVERY FILM THAT HAS EVER EXISTED. True story. Some of my favorite films are never to be mentioned because the list would fry your brain and that is illegal. I’m not a criminal but if I had to choose at least a Top 5 it would include:  Fantastic Mr. Fox, American Psycho, The Evil Dead, Funny Games, and The Muppets. I know what you’re thinking, but remember, I said: “My taste of film ranges from . . . ” I wasn’t kidding. So, since watching and reviewing films is something (all) I do with my spare time I thought I would share the lot with you with help from my friend up there ^^^, Ryan.

The way I will  be reviewing the films is through a 5 point system I created called “Tonies.” This uses pictures of my face (Anthony) and, well, that is pretty much it. 5 Tony’s are good and anything that is 2 or lower is not so good. Simple, right? Keep in mind that the system is solely based on my opinion; I’d give two Tony’s to Titanic while every other person in the world would give it a billion. Not lying. This argument will forever plague my life. Anyway, like Ryan, I will not be giving any spoilers. I want this to be about the film and all the aspects that come together to make the film what it is.

Thank you for taking your time to read my scribbling. I love the artistic realm of film and I hope I can help you on your journey to appreciating it as well.

Love, Ryan… Anthony.

We call this a movie review blog–you can call it your best friend.
