For The Fan Presents: 25 Days of Christmas

Today is December 1st. It marks the day when all things Christmas enter our lives in many forms: our hearts, in our families, the grocery store, on the radio, at the dentist, on ABC Family. In every way, shape and form. So, let that Christmas cheer enter your body and hold it there for 25 days.

We would like to contribute in this grand spectacle of giving, sharing, and loving. By sharing with you, the readers, 25 movies that are Christmas themed. They can range from any genre. For example: Die Hard, probably one of the most badass Christmas movies I've ever watched.

I will be posting my recommendations and so on for 25 Days of Christmas on this tread. Enjoy.

To kick this bad boy off  we present to you:

Day 1: Jingle All The Way

Many of you may already know this holiday classic starring our favorite governor, Arnold Schwazenegger.
If not then take the time to make hot cocoa and sit with the family as you watch the wacky adventures of the big guy.

The story follows Howard Langston, a workaholic mattress salesman, who does not find time for his wife, Liz, and his young 9 year old son, Jamie — especially when compared to next door "superdad" divorcee, Ted Maltin, who continually puts Howard in a bad light. After missing Jamie's karate class graduation, Howard resolves to redeem himself by fulfilling Jamie's ultimate Christmas wish: getting an action figure of Turbo-Man, a popular children's TV superhero toy that everyone is looking for. Along the way, Howard meets Myron Larabee, a postal worker dad with a rival ambition, and the two soon become bitter competitors in their race for the action figure.

Day 2:  Silent Night, Deadly Night

For today I decided to get a little dark with this slasher film, Silent Night, Deadly Night.

The film follows Billy Chapman, a young tormented teenager, who after his parents are murdered goes on a murderous rampage dressed as Santa, due to his stay at an orphanage where he was abused by the Mother Superior.

Don't forget there is also a remake that was released on 2012. Check that out as well.

Day 3: Die Hard

Remember earlier I said that I believed Die Hard was one of the most badass Christmas movies? I wasn't lying. For today I'm bringing this all-out action, adventure film to the list. If you haven't seen it yet then here is your chance.

John McClane, officer of the NYPD, tries to save wife Holly Gennaro and several others, taken hostage by German terrorist Hans Gruber during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles.

Day 4: The Nightmare Before Christmas

This film needs no real introduction. So here it is!

Day 5: Black Christmas (Silent Night, Evil Night)

"If this picture doesn't make your skin crawl... it's on too tight" You don't hear things like that anymore. Once again Christmas is dark, in fact it is a black Christmas.

A sorority house is terrorized by a stranger who makes frightening phone calls and then murders the sorority sisters during Christmas break.

Day 6: Go (1999)

You ever wonder what the coolest kids in town are up to during the Christmas week? Well, this allows you to get a little idea.

The story takes place involving three different people who all work together in the same supermarket over the 24 hour period leading up to Christmas.

Day 7: Brazil

One of the best non-Christmas, Christmas movies. It is filled with fantasy and a Christmas scene or two. It's good.

The wrongful arrest of a man on Christmas because of a bureaucratic error causes a series of events in which a low-level government employee tries to find the woman of his dreams and in the process begins to live counter to the state's banal bureaucracy.

Day 8: A Very Merry Muppet Christmas

If anyone knows anything they know I'm an avid viewer of all things Muppets. Besides, I have listed anything that gave out any Christmas cheer.

A snowman named Joe Snow recounts how the Muppet Theater was going through financial hardship, and the Muppets seeking Kermit the Frog for guidance. Kermit eventually feels he is not useful to anyone and an angel named Daniel brings this up with his Boss as they review what has gone on with Kermit in the past hours.

Day 9: Ernest Saves Christmas

Deemed to be one of the worst Christmas movie by multiple sources. I say, Screw Em! Ernest saved many of my Christmas'.

Ernest helps Santa Claus as he searches for his successor.
It isn't that big of a hit. So, here's the full movie. Watch it you may find yourself loving it.

Day 10: Eight Crazy Nights

It's Adam Sandler, Christmas, and Animation. So, why not?

Davey Stone, an alcoholic with a criminal record, is sentenced to community service under the supervision of an elderly referee. Davey is then faced with trying to reform and abandon his bad habits.

Day 11: White Christmas

Let's take it back a few years and watch this Christmas classic. It is filled with loads of catchy tunes, hummable songs, and so much cheer filled to the brim.

Day 12: To All A Goodnight

I guess the theme for my Christmas is dark and terrifying. Add yet another horror film to your list.

It revolves around a group of sorority girls and their boyfriends being killed off during a Christmas party by a vengeful psychopath dressed as Santa Claus.

Day 13: The Muppet Christmas Carol

What kind of fan would I be if I didn't add another Muppet movie? Not a very good one.

The Muppets take the classic Dicken's tale and throws in our favorite characters.

Day 14: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This one is pretty self explanatory.

Day 15: The Polar Express

An adaptation of the famous children's book. It took a whole new spin and did something completely different, but something great. Not to mention the beautiful artwork.

Day 16: Christmas Slay

I think you may notice a theme by now. I love horror movies. Here is yet another film about Santa murdering teenagers.

Day 17: Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

Because why not? It's Christmas.

Day 18: How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Everything has been so dark lately. I need to change things up. And nostalgia.
