Alright! Another week, more new comics! Sorry for the delay on the buy lists this week! Work can get pretty crazy! Anyway, there's definitely some Marvel books worth mentioning this week! Without further a do! Lets get to it!

#3

Title: Guardians of the Galaxy #012
Price: $3.99
Writer: Brian Michael Bendis
Artist: Sara Pichelli

Story/Premise

"THE TRIAL OF JEAN GREY" PART 4! A surprise ally from one character's past comes to help, but is that enough against the most powerful army in the Universe?

Opinion:

So far, "The Trial of Jean Grey" has been an awesome and exciting crossover between the Guardians and the X-Men. It's really interesting to see how the X-Men from the past react to the Guardians, especially Rocket and Groot. If you've been reading this crossover so far you know that it's been a bit of a ride. If you like space adventure and aliens I would definitely pick up this book!

#2

Title: Fantastic Four #001
Price: $3.99
Writer: James Robinson
Artist: Leonard Kirk

Story/Premise

"THE FALL OF THE FANTASTIC FOUR" PART 1 The world's greatest comics magazine begins anew with Marvel's First Family, the Fantastic Four! But as the brilliant MR. FANTASTIC, the compassionate INVISIBLE WOMAN, the ever lovin' THING & the hot-headed HUMAN TORCH embark on a strange mission, they aren't met with new beginnings, but an untimely end! As the family of cosmic explorers head towards their darkest hour, who could possibly be behind their downfall? And how is one of their oldest enemies, the sadistic dragon known as Fing-Fang-Foom involved? Prepare for the fantastic!

Opinion:

The reason that this book made the top 3 of the buy list this week is mostly because I'm intrigued to know why exactly Marvel wanted to do another Re-Boot of Fantastic Four when the last run just ended a few weeks ago. According to the solicitations It's going to be interesting to see how this story plays out with it being apparently "the end."

#1

Title: The Superior Spider-Man #028
Price: $3.99
Writer: Dan Slott
Artist: Giuseppe Camuncoli

Story/Premise

"Goblin Nation" #2 (of 5) Goblins! Spiderlings! Super villains! Giant robots! It can only mean one thing: ASSAULT ON SPIDER-ISLAND!If you want to see people standing around talking, read another comic. Want to see heroes having a fist fight, go somewhere else? You are IN the GOBLIN NATION and this is ALL-OUT WAR!

Opinion:

This I think is obviously the #1 Marvel book coming out  this week as it is almost every week a new issue comes out. The anticipation behind this final story arc is incredible and if the last issue of SSM was any indication on how the rest of this arc will go, this issue will be absolutely no disappointment. If you've been reading Superior before this issue, keep getting it, if you are yet to pick up this title, pick up the last two issues a long with this one so that you kind of know what's going on!

With Dreams of Forever Evil 6 once more crushed until next week, I look onwards to this new week, where things are getting awesome.  I am a huge fan of what DC has been putting out, and my load of comics for this week is quite heavy! With so many fresh takes on solid characters, and new budding classics, I am super stoked to talk about this week's books!

#3

Title: Superman: Lois Lane #1
Price:  $4.99
Writer: Marguerite Bennett
Artist:  Dan Jurgens

Story/Premise
Lois Lane is known for chasing down stories - but what happens when the story is her family? As her father gains more power in the government, Lois's sister Lucy has become involved with a deadly drug scene! Meanwhile, Lois thought she was rid of the influence of Brainiac, but now she finds that the the computer tyrant of Colu is calling out to her again!

Opinion
Lois Lane, a woman known for bangin Supes on and off again throughout DC's canon and getting in people's faces to get her stories out there finally gets her own book. . . again.  A strong independent woman who don't need no (Super)man, she is truly one of the most iconic female characters in comics next to Catwoman, Mary Jane Watson and Sue Storm. All were pioneers in the progressive minded woman's world of comics and though this may be a cash grab for another new #1 in their hat,  it looks and sounds different enough from the status quo of The New 52 to have me interested.

#2

Title: Batman/Superman #8
Price: $3.99
Writer: Greg Pak
Artist: Kenneth Rocafort

Story/Premise
The Worlds' Finest teams of two worlds meet at last in chapter 1 of 'First Contact'! With Power Girl's abilities on the fritz, see what happens when her long-lost cousin Superman approaches her! And a major threat returns in a way you won't believe! Continues in this month's WORLDS' FINEST #8.

Opinion
Earth 2 and all of it's side series have been nothing short of amazing.  The first arc of this series demonstrated that yet again, and though the last Mongul-centric arc took a dip, this one looks to step it up once more.  Finally we get to see what happens when both Bruce and Clark are faced with their alternate universe relatives.  We can assume it will go well since they have already visited themselves on that planet, but with hints at ties to the current arc of Earth 2, let's just say I am little more than moist, mentally, over this next arc.

#1

Title: The Wake #6
Price: $2.99
Writer: Scott Snyder
Artist: Sean Murphy

Story/Premise
'My name is Leeward, and this is where my story begins...' Our story jumps two hundred years into a flooded future where nothing is the same. The second half of THE WAKE starts here!

Opinion
WAIT, THAT'S A VERTIGO BO- I know.  Honestly they are owned by the same men in suits sitting at a table somewhere and counting your lunch money so I don't see the point in pretending that Vertigo is an entirely isolated publisher from DC.  This book has been crazy awesome thus far, a true breath of fresh air in my hero filled pull list and with the ending of issue 5 and the promise of what this second half of the story holds I believe we are all in for one hell of a ride.  Mutants? Check.  Killer Mermaids?  Still check.  BATTLE DOLPHINS?! You bet your ass. If you are looking for well penned horror story with splashes of Sci-Fi and haunting art, look no further.

Update: Despite studio claims and other things of the sort. Sources close to Lebron have claimed that the NBA player will not be starring in the sequel. They even state that the sequel all around will not be happening. But we will have to see!

Deadline just reported that Warner Brothers is currently in development for a sequel to the 1996 live-action/animated film Space Jam.

The film will be written and produced by the sons of broadcasting veteran Dick Ebersol. Charlie Ebersol will produce the project and his brother Willie Ebersol, a former Emmy winner will be developing and writing the script. This is the latter Ebersol’s first screenplay.

The sequels predecessor starred famed basketball player Michael Jordan as the lead. The premise of the film was that Michael Jordan agreed to help the Looney Toons play a basketball game vs. alien slavers to determine their freedom. Along with Jordan the film included other famed NBA players such as, Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, Charles Barkley, Danny Ainge, Tyron “Muggsy” Bogues, Vlade Divac, Cedric Ceballos, Larry Johnson, Shawn Bradley and Paul West.

Space Jam grossed $230 million at the box office. A number which Space Jam 2 will aim to pass. But at what cost? Probably your childhood.

The sequel will likely follow in the footsteps of the original and feature many current NBA players.

The only question I must ask is, "Are Ya'll Ready For This?"

Fantastic Four (Cast)

@4thefanmovies

After ducking and dodging all questions, Fox has found and released it's cast for the upcoming reboot of The Fantastic 4.

The cast will include House of Cards star, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell is in negotiations to play Ben Grimm/The Thing, Miles Tellar is also in negotiations to play Reed Richards/Mr Fantastic, and I'm sure most of you are already aware of Michael B. Jordan as our new Johnny Storm/Human Torch.

This is something I may just have to pass.

As individuals I believe each of these actor are "fantastic." I just don't see any of them playing these characters. It could be cool to see a fresh new look added to our heroes, but will it be done correctly? Probably not. Fox has proven time and time again that they are incapable of creating a good Marvel movie.

I guess we will all have to wait and see where this goes.

What are your thoughts? Do you like the cast? Let us know. We would love to hear your thoughts!

A new week means new comics! The last two weeks have had an awesome selection of new Marvel books coming out, and this week is no exception. February has been a strong month so far for Marvel's releases and I think that this week is going to be one of the stronger weeks we've gotten so far. Going into this weird "All New Marvel Now" re-launch of a re-launch I wasn't sure exactly how well the books were going to be and wasn't really sure it was for. I still don't know why Marvel did this soft re-launch of sorts, but the books have been exceptional lately! It's easily some of the best writing we've gotten from Marvel in the last year (just my opinion.) So enough of me talking! Let's see what made the top 3 list for this week's All New Marvel Books!

Welcome to my first official post (not just recommendations!) on this lovely site!  My name is Dan and I am here to take you on a wild journey into what some call Marvel after dark.  That's right baby, I'm talkin' DC Comics!  Though we may lose the vibrancy,  colorful humor, and charm that Marvel swings around on occasion in this 'verse, here you will find the dark, the gritty and the  *gasp!* brooding world of angst we call Batman. If that doesn't grab you by the collarbone and shake you into a squirming puddle of joy fret not! All heroes are valid, no matter the publisher! I am just going to be giving you the what's what and the who's who with this, The New 52. There are some really great things going on this month so let's dive into this week, shall we?

Disclosure: An Introduction

For those of you were also too cautious or lazy to input your credit card information into Google Play, let me just say that it is completely worth it. I now introduce you to ‘Disclosure’, an up and coming Electronica artist that I am now listening to on repeat.

They made a few splashes in the UK since the sibling duo started in 2010, but garnered more attention with the release of the hit single "Latch" featuring the talented Sam Smith in 2012. Signed to PMR, they released two more singles which are included on their debut full length album titled "Settle" just released in June of 2013.

If you really want to get down with your bad self while jogging around the block or cleaning the house, take a listen to their album and when the person you’re sitting next to at a red light stares at you for party rocking in your car, just know that they are the ones missing out.

WHO OWNS WHO?

Marvel owns the Avengers... Sony owns Spider-Man... and Fox owns The Fantastic Four and the X-Men? What about all the other crazy characters in the Marvel Universe?

I have asked myself this question on numerous occasions and often here it being the topic of many blogs, podcasts and see if brought up almost every night on forums. We all know who owns the rights to the big names, and we were all confused as hell when we heard that Quicksilver is going to be appearing in both, X-Men: Day's of Future Past, and Avengers: Age of Ultron but we now know that there was a split of ownership for him from Disney/Marvel and Fox. So this post is to help clear things up and to find out who we could actually see team up with the Avengers sometime in the future, and who we can cry ourselves to sleep about because there is no hope for a team-up. Once all of that is said and done, we're going to go in and see who has the chance of making it to the big screen, or even the small screen(TV) for that matter! So, enough of my rambling, let's get in depth about what key characters numerous studios own from Marvel Comics!

New Gaming Writer!/Dark Souls 2!

For the Fan Presents:

Dark Souls 2 - Coming March 14th to Xbox 360 and PS3.

Publisher: Namco Bandai Games

Hello there! My name is Jimmy, and I am the new writer on this amazing blog, I'm looking forward to improve the experience for everybody visiting this website, as improving my writing skills and having a great time! :) Now, lets dive into Dark Souls 2, Probably what will be one of the best RPG's we have seen in a while.

Its really difficult to describe Dark souls. If i were to put it in my own words, I would say the game is about adventure, and most of all DEATH. The promotional line for Dark Souls 1 is actually "Prepare to die". Dark souls is one of the most challenging RPG's, or even one of the most challenging games I have ever played. The first time i picked it up, I couldn't even get past the Tutorial Boss until dying a dozen times. (You can't even pause the game!) Not to mention, the lore is so in depth that people today are still finding out new things about it, 3 years later! Dark Souls is definitely not a game "Casual Gamers" would enjoy though, just because of the sheer difficulty. It's more for the hardcore ones out there looking for the adventure of a lifetime, an adventure of suffering, trial and error, and victory.

We're not talking about Dark Souls 1 today however, Dark Souls 2 was announced a few months ago, The whole Souls community and I are itching like crazy to get our hands on an insanely difficult new adventure!

The new promotional line for Dark Souls 2 : Go Beyond Death :

If you've seen trailers for any other video-games, You usually see the hero killing all the bad guys and looking epic. In the dark souls announcement trailer pasted above, It's half true. We do see him killing some masked bandits, but what you have to think about is, the hero actually DIES twice in the trailer. That's some unique marketing right there.

Dark souls 2 already has  hundreds of game-play videos on YouTube already, (due to the beta that came out in November, but was insanely hard to get a spot in.) but I like to go into most games with a surprise, so I won't be watching any of those, and i don't think you should either.

If you want to get a sense of the Souls Story, and haven't already, pick up Dark Souls and give it a try before the 2nd one comes out. It truly is a one of a kind experience, one which will probably end in you rage-quitting and breaking your controller. (Hopefully not)

Jimmy is a freelance writer in Los Angeles, California. He enjoys yelling at his T.V. whenever he dies in Dark souls, doing parkour, and writing fan-fiction on his favorite video-games. His tumblr: http://writerjimminy.tumblr.com/

Lately, I have noticed the amount of crap that is being released in the horror community. We see nothing but over-the-top remakes, unwanted sequels and spin-offs of ideas once used. This wouldn't pose to be a problem if these films were actually good. The case is the exact opposite. I constantly watch horror films that I'm completely displeased with. It isn't because of the quality or choice of actors. Believe me, some of the low budget horror films happen to be on my list of favorite films. The problem we face now is this: People have stopped trying and it is as simple as that.

RUMOR: Is Paul Bettany playing The Vision in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron!?

For the Fan Presents...

RUMOR MILL! Is Paul Bettany playing The Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron?

@4theFan
@4theFanMovies

From a report from the website Daily Mail Paul Bettany has been cast as the A.I. Vision in the upcoming Avengers sequel. Since is seems as though Ultron's creation will be from Tony Stark versus Hank Pym, it will be interesting to see how they incorporate and create Vision in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! With shooting scheduled to start in the next few months, this rumor comes late and I find it as a surprise. I was not expecting The Vision to appear in Age of Ultron and thought that he could possibly be introduced in a future MCU movie, but I am definitely not not against having Ultron in the upcoming superhero sequel! This story is just a rumor as of now, but stay on the lookout for an official announcement from Marvel studios!

Paul Bettany is best known for his roles in, The Da Vinci Code, Legion, and A Knights Tale. What do you think of this possible casting? Do you believe that Bettany will be amazing in the role of The Vision? Or do you think that someone else should be cast instead! Comment below and tweet us at @4theFan. With what you think!

The Avengers: Age of Ultron is slated to hit theaters everywhere on May 1st 2015 and will star Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johannson, Chris Hemsworth and James Spader. The Avengers: Age of Ultron is based on the Marvel Comics characters and stories created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
