The upcoming remake of the well received film "The Raid" has now found its director.

Patrick Hughes, the director of the The Expendables 3, has signed on to direct an American remake of The Raid. Gareth Huw Evans, director of the Indonesian original about a SWAT Team taking down a gang-lead building and it’s sequel, will also produce. So there is some hope.

The remake will be written by Brad Inglesby and according to The Wrap, there’s a possibility they might take a look at hiring the Hemsworth brothers (Thor and his sibling.)

My only problem is why do we need and American remake for a movie that was released less than two years ago. Remember what happened to Old Boy? The American remake of that received terrible reception. I just don't want that to happen to this film, but I guess only time will tell.

What are your thoughts? Do you think it will be nothing more than a failed attempt at American remake or do you believe there is hope? Let us know!
