Agent Venom is in New York but one thing The Superior Spider-Man doesn't know is that Agent Venom is on the good guys team

Story Summary(story summary)

The book starts off with Agent Venom appearing in a New York harbor looking to take down the Crime Master. It then moves over to Peter Parker giving a long monologue about how with the introduction of Parker Industries he and all of the other scientists that are joining him are going to rule the world! The science world that is. It then continues on to show that Peter has employed the Cardiac as one of his doctors after seeing that the crime's he was committing in the earlier issues of SSM were to help dying patients and to help people. The book then continues on to show that the Spider-Bots picked up Agent Venom in a fire fight with the crime masters men. Spidey's soldiers then relay what is happening to him so Spidey goes down to the harbor in an attempt to stop Venom. Not knowing who Flash Thompson is (due to the whole brain fight in issue 9) Spider-Man attacks Venom as if it is still the crazy monster it once was. The book ends with us finding out that the original Hobgoblin sold the name of the crime master to some thug looking to hit the big time and Spider-Man standing over Agent Venom as if he is going to kill him

Review of the Book

To say I was excite for this issue would be a complete understatement. I have been looking forward to this story arc since it was announced back at SDCC. Though I was expecting a bit more fighting between Spider-Man and Venom this book was still really fun to read. It introduced us to Parker Industries and set the tone of what the relationship is going to be between Spider-Man and Venom in this book. The art was good as it usually is from Ramos but I thought Aunt May looked a bit odd and same with Anna Marie. Overall this book is really fun and is a great set up for what is too come in the "Darkest Hours" story arc!

Pros, Cons, & Rating

PROS: Fun setup, cool fight scene, good writing, good art
CONS: Not a lot of action

Rating: 8/10. Good start to this Venom Arc in SSM!
