Arjun Core Review

For The Fan Present

Arjun “Core” Review

We’ve covered some unique music on For The Fan, but this may take the cake folks. Arjun releases the record “Core” and blows everyone away with precision guitar work, eclectic bass lines, and genre shifting that is going to cause your head to explode. Turn the blender in your brain on to 11 because you aren’t going to be able to peg this as just one type of record, it’s all instrumental, all done with expertise, and there’s not one wasted second or moment on this release. It’s an iconic record that is going to live on as more people pay attention to how well this is layered.

Arjun puts on a showcase of talent through each track on “Core”. You get guitar rock, jazz bass, funk, percussion that molds the rhythm and so much more. The instrumentals here are eclectic, without ever losing you through the pieces. You’ll find that with every track, every moment is given time to come through and is quite the recording. There are 7 tracks and each one comes through a wall of foundational noise that is anything but simple.

With the early moments of “Rocks”, through the tracks “Deep Impact”, “Core”, and “Crystalline”, you are not let down at all. Very few times do you get an opening section of tracks that bleed into the finale as well as this one. “Lavalust”, “Alchemy”, and “Within You” close out the disc and really shine as standouts on this iconic recording.

Arjun is setting serious music fans ablaze with a sound that is unique, well crafted, and just classic. I am highly recommending this recording, as one of the best records I’ve heard all year. It’s genre defiance stands tall on the shoulders of instrumental rock records.
